Runners: Fingers, Clinton,
Blade , Lilith, Martin, Mr Joshua, Running Wolf , Iceface Special Guest Appearance:
Mouse The runners were hired by Alisdair Cameron of Transys Euronet for an overseas run in the UK. The job is find his friend and colleague Quicksilver, who has gone missing. Unknown to Alisdair a rival corp Zeta Imp-Chem was after the unique chips Quicksilver had designed. The
Runners begin checking out Quicksilver’s hangouts at Hamish’s Bar were they
acquire some useful local contacts. They check out Transys’s system and
discover a strange amnesiac avatar of Quicksilver - Imago. Imago asked
to be taken to Amelia who they
eventually trace as Amelia Richardson at the University. She gives
them Quicksilver’s cyberdeck and tells them he had created some unique custom
chips for some unknown purpose. Not long after, Alaisdair is killed leaving
the runners without an employer and being hunted by the police especially
after Martin kills a copper trying to arrest him. In
order to prove their innocence the continue to track Quicksilver following
the trail to a druid Fiona Mac Mhuiric. After insisting the one of the runners
participate in a druidic ritual, (Fingers volunteered and was pretty much drained of karma)
Fiona gives them a chip that Quicksilver left with her and points them in the direction of Loch Ness.
Using the chip in Quicksilver’s deck the runners download Imago into the
deck. Loch
Ness was protected by a powerful Free
Spirit who tested each of the runners on an Astral Quest. When complete she
handed the runners another chip. Inserting the chip returns some of Imago’s
memories and he points the runners towards Morag Mac Donald . They
trace Morag to Castle Laindon in Glencoe only to discover she was murdered
weeks ago, in an apparent assault by the Campbells (actually a Zeta Imp-Chem
hit squad), before they even came to the UK. After scouting the heavily
defended castle, running into some nasty gamekeepers ( not to mention the
dreaded cyber-haggises) and Blade getting to meet the Scottish
countryside face-down, they decided
to simple call on the Mac Donalds and manage to persuade Sir James, to let
them in they met Morag’s ghost who tells them Quicksilver was also killed in
the raid. Mouse, flew in from
the UCAS to replace Blade. They search Morag’s room where they find another
chip they discovered the last chip is in Amelia’s office back in Edinburgh. Sir
James suggests they talk to his brother Sir Ian. As the runners left for
Edinburgh, yet another Zeta Imp-Chem
strike force hits the castle. A vicious firefight ensues. The team head back
to Edinburgh to retrieve the last chip from Amelia’s office, the integrate
the last chip and Imago’s personality is reformed as Quicksilver. He begs the
Runners to take the deck back to Castle Laindon to set his soul free to be
with Morag. The
runners meet Sir Ian to get permission to return to Castle Laindon. Returning
to the castle, the runners help release Quicksilver’s soul from the deck just
as a final Zeta Imp-Chem squad hits the castle in a last desperate attempt to
retrieve the chips. Mr Joshua took the precious deck back to the UCAS and hid it somewhere in Joe’s

15: Nadja Daviar reads Dunkelzahn's will at the Watergate Hotel in
Washington, FDC. The will appears in various on-line user groups, including
the Neo-Anarchist's Shadowland node. No indication exists to even hint at
where this text version came from or who sent it. Nadja Daviar releases her
first press release as Chairman of the Board of the Draco Foundation. Sep
3-Nov 10: The Draco Foundation begins operations at its newly christened
headquarters. The movers and shakers of the world converge on Washington, FDC
to receive their inheritances. Sep
5: The Scott Commission begins its hearings with President Haeffner. Chief Justice
Scott announces that the Commission will release transcripts of the hearings
after each witness is interviewed and the Commission reaches a majority
decision. |
