Federal Entanglements
Runners: The Mask, The
Colonel, Thin White Duke, Silverblade and Tara The runners were hired by Mr Johnson ( who else?) to acquire a small ebony box that is currently in the possession of Masamachi Kasami, a Fuchi executive who is due to return to Japan in two days time. They arrive at the scene to find corpses everywhere (again), manage to save Masamachi Kasami who gave them the box . An explosion goes off and remarkably swiftly Lone Star arrives on the scene. In
the firefight with The Mask went down, his crime fighting career cut
short in a hail of lead and acid. Unknown to them, the whole thing was a set-up and they were the fall guys. Masamachi Kasami was in fact a high-ranking Japanese officer who was targeted for assassination by Japanese Intelligence as they believed he was about to defect. They were then contacted by Agents Myers and Thomson of the FBI and told to lay low as they were trying to expose the links between Japanese Intelligence operating out of San Francisco and local Yakuza operating in Seattle. |
