Ghost Cartels - The Trouble With Tempo

Runners: Kitsune, Polo, Sirius, El Torro, Spirit, Blackout, Zipcode

Session One

...from zipCode's blog

An invite came through to meet Dae at Ticklers and come loaded for bear!

Dae was waitin' with Yakamura, who told us he needed to boost his security he believes someone had put a hit out on him.
So we makes like a secutiy detail and escort him and Dae back to their pad. The trip was uneventful and after scoping the joint out we setted the two down inside.

After a bit Dae offers us another job, Cain, the slightly less pretty leader of the Rgaersa ( since POoos hot him in the head) had apparently tried to carve himself a little bigger slice of the Tempo-pie and Kaz wanted him brought in for a little "chat".

We hit the streets and eventually tracked Cain and his men down to a go-go-go gang safehouse in the Tacoma Docklands, so we hit the place pretty hard.

Session Two

... from zipCode's Blog

After removing the contents of the safe – some credsticks and Yakamura’s missing Tempo, we picked up the chummer that Blackout had tazed and took him back to Dae’s safe-house – after which Yakamura took him aside for a long and  very unpleasant chat! We stood around nervously in the  next room, trying not to hear what was happening – well at least I did! Sirius just upped the volume on her music while LT did his stoic Street Sam face and Polo and Kitsune did their inscrutable Orientals bit!

After he was finished, Yakamura told us he had to attend a meeting and asked us to provide a security for Dae on a job that afternoon. She was escorting some mafia bigwig to a high-stakes poker game at which the head of the local Yaks was playing as well. According to Polo and Kitsune, taking Dae, a Korean, along was a calculated insult to the Yak, therefore there could be fireworks!

Loaded for bear, we piled into the armoured limo, with Blackout following along behind. We headed for the meet, a casino in a swanky part of Downtown and pulled into the underground carpark.

Blackout parked-up outside, keeping a watchful eye on what was going on at street-level

We were first to arrive, and sat sipping soykaf and waiting patiently till Dae’s “date” turned up. He arrived about ten minutes later accompanied by a bunch of chipped-to-the-max Street Sams who gave us the evil eye as they parked up about 20 metres away. Being tough-as-nails Runners, we gave ‘em the evil-eye right back ! The Mafiosi, came across accompanied by two of his muscle-men, collected Dae and disappeared into the elevator across the way.

About ten minutes layer the Yak’s arrived, parking up about 20 metres the other side of us. The lead Kobun got out accompanied by two mean-looking bodyguards, the others got out of the limo ad stood their looking across at the  Fan-fragging -tastic now we were stuck in-between two bunches of heavily armed stone-cold killers, who stared at each other stonily through their expensive sunglasses. Personally I stayed in the armoured limo just watching the tension ratchet up!   Five minutes later a fourth limo pulled up and a what looked like a couple, of Corp Execs got out and made their way to the elevator – completely ignoring the rest of us.

Fortunately the razorboys managed to keep their guns holstered and a couple hours later Dae returned – we didn’t hang about especially as Sirius had a call from Yakamura that something had gone bust at his meeting!

When we got back to Dae’s, Yakamura was looking busted up and slotted-to the gills on something – Tempo probably! He told us that the meeting had been a set-up and he’d been ambushed by Yaks – he was not a happy bunny and offered us 10k each to deliver some payback!

We headed out to The Barrens to the meeting site and from there tracked the Kobun back to a hotel downtown. The Hotel security was pitiful and within a coupe of hours, zipCode was in control! Sirius took a room on the eighth floor and  we began planning for some wetwork. Given who we were up against subtlety was not an option and we went in hard – well the others did – I rode shotgun from the matrix triggering file alarms all across the hotel to provide a distraction. The fight was brutal and bloody, both LT and Sirius were badly wounded before the yaks went down.

Things seemed pretty good - especially with the pay-off Yakamura gave us. Tim wto lay low for a while I was thinking, then suddenly I find our  names were all over the fragging place! Apparently the  big guy couldn't keep quiet about his strike against the Yaks and he was being very free with our handles - not cool!

Ithink Mr Y may be getting alittle too dangerous and unstable to be around any more, time to make like a bee and buzz off!
