The party agreed
to help out their old friend Clifton by escorting a “special” cargo to Aftane
for him.
The party were
joined by Ernust
Morgunson, who had come to Roesone make arrangements for the transport
of the body of his deceased brother
home.
While crossing
the desert, they lose contact with the rest of the caravan in a vicious
sandstorm.
Wandering for a
few days in the desert, the party stumble upon a mysterious pyramid. Entering
the pyramid they discover beneath it, a lost Khinasi domain Edrassi.
This small once-thriving town was, buried long ago by encroaching desert sands
following a failed magical experiment by one of its mage rulers. The surviving
populace cut-off by the desert and the war with Ainure migrated underground.
The Domain is ruled by a powerful Vos lich, calling himself Zargon, who has
usurped the throne by bloodtheft.
As the PCs
arrive the domain is currently in the throes of a revolution by forces loyal to
the heir of rightful ruler. Unfortunately the revolution to date has made
little headway, as the lich is using his arts of summoning and necromancy to
control the populace.
Trapped in the
pyramid, the PC’s join the revolution and help overthrow the lich.
