Queen Euphoria
Runners: The Colonel,
Thin White Duke, Mercury , Lilith, Martin, Shogun,
Running Wolf, Iceface Strice
Foods launch an new and highly successful product onto the market – Amber
Gel. They hired MegaMedia’s simsense
star Euphoria to promote the stuff. One of Strice’s hire the runners to grab
Euphoria to disrupt the launch of the new foodstuff. The
runners successfully grab Euphoria and stash her safely. Strice hires another
Team to track them down, a firefight ensues at the safe house, in which the
runners managed to escape and locate a new hiding place. Once
the scheduled appearances are missed, the runners release Euphoria safely. Later
that evening Euphoria is kidnapped once again. The runners having experience
of kidnapping Euphoria are hired by Mega Media to find her. Her penthouse was
a scene of carnage all the bodyguards slaughtered in a manner no human could
have done. They searched the place and discover that Euphoria was recording a
simsense chip when the attack happened.
Running the chip they see the recording of something breaking
in, killing the guards and seizing her. In the recording they see two men one
with a crazed look mentions the name “Burroughs” the other has a T-shirt with
“Garraty’s Bar & Grill” on it. Heading to Garraty’s the runners learn of the disappearance of
a waiter Craft. They also learn by hitting the streets that Craft has been
seen near a magic shop called Magic Crafts. Checking it out they discover it
guarded by a Flesh Form insect spirit. They found Craft’s blood-spattered
room, the fact he’s obsessed by Euphoria (posters everywhere) and details of
some kind of production facility in the Pullayup Barrens. The
runners discovered that one Vincent Burroughs is a director of Strice
Foods in charge of the Amber Gel
product.and decide to visit him they con their way into his office. As they
start to question him he’s attacked by a Soldier Ant Spirit. After a tough
struggle they manage to kill the Spirit and a fearful Burroughs tells them
Craft actually supplies the Amber Gel. Heading
to Pullayup they penetrated the facility to discover that it is in fact an
Insect Spirit hive and that “Amber Gel” is in fact made from an excretion of
the Workers. A
huge firefight ensues where Shogun
had an unfortunately close encounter with an Ant Soldier Warrior! The
team killed Craft, the Insect Spirit Queen and find Euphoria, unfortunately she
had already been infected by an Insect Sprit and had partially completed the
transformation to Insect Form. |
